The series of the Legend of Foo Foo is proclaimed by Empress Cixi and is published by Foo Foo Med​ia Empire a subsidiary of Houston Behavioral Health Institute.

     The Empress and The Legend of Foo Fu collection are illustrations by the artist Martha Escobar from the children's book series "The Legends of Foo Foo".  The illustrations depict a magical land where dragons dance in palace gardens, and lanterns dot the landscape, a magical creature was born. Some call it a Foo Foo Dog, some call it a Lion Dog, others call it a Dragon Dog, but all call it enchanted. The Empress and the Legend of Foo Foo share the story of how the delightful dog breed known as a Pekingese, with its own distinctive history and origin, was born. This picture book for children, with its lavish illustrations, transports kids back in time. It also introduces the magic of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, as well as Imperial Chinese history and includes English and Chinese translations in the children's book series.
